About Skye

A lifelong lover of beads and jewelry, I sold my first piece off a blanket on the beach in Maui more than 20 years ago. Iā€™m inspired by nature and the world around me. I love to create patterns based on the relationships and interplay of color.

Beading provides a meditative and relaxing flow, allowing my creative spirit to unfold in each piece. I work out of my studio in Albany, CA, facing my favorite window overlooking my backyard garden.

When not beading, you can find me heading out to the Albany Bulb with my son, wife, and dog. In a past life, I ran an art gallery in Berkeley that worked with more than 400 local and regional artists. I also spent a number of years professionally supporting animal rescue organizations and working as a veterinary technician in the Bay Area.
